We are delighted to celebrate the spirit of inquiry and share the captivating journeys of our EY1 students. This month, we are thrilled to highlight the exciting Unit of Inquiry that our youngest class has enthusiastically embraced: "Sharing the Planet."

Our youngest students have been immersed in a fascinating exploration of farm animals, igniting their curiosity and sparking their imaginations. From the very beginning, their inquisitive minds have posed numerous questions, and together, we have embarked on a quest for answers.

小朋友们沉浸在农场动物的奇妙乐园中，从一开始，他们就满怀好奇，提出了各种问题，我们一起踏上了寻找各种问题答案的探索之旅。

Venturing into our school garden, the students closely examined the vibrant flora that thrives there. Inspired by this experience, our little ones joyfully planted various seeds, bulbs, and even mushrooms! Each day, they diligently water their plants, spray the mushroom mycelium, and observe with excitement as their plantings grow, becoming increasingly lush and tall.

在校园里，孩子们仔细观察每一株植物，还种下了各种种子和洋葱球茎，甚至还大胆尝试栽培蘑菇！每天，他们都像小小园丁一样，认真地为植物浇水，满怀期待地看着它们一天天茁壮成长。

To further fuel their fascination with farm birds, we organised a memorable visit to a small aviary. The students had the opportunity to witness and feed chickens, ducks, and even get up close with a magnificent rooster. Their faces lit up with awe as they interacted with these feathered creatures, seizing the chance to feed and touch them.

为了让孩子们对农场禽鸟类有更深的了解，我们还组织了一次难忘的鸡舍参观活动。孩子们看到了灵活可爱的小鸡、小鸭，还近距离欣赏了美丽的大公鸡。他们在学习怎么和小动物互动，怎么抚摸它们的羽毛。

After watching an educational video about animals, the students learned fascinating facts about cows, including their coat colours, four-chambered stomach, and herbivorous diet. Utilising this newfound knowledge, the students engaged in a creative activity where they crafted their very own cow in the classroom, embellishing it with their handprints. They even simulated the milking process. These hands-on experiences have provided our students with a deeper understanding of the world around them and the significance of nurturing and caring for living things.

通过观看一些有趣的动物视频，孩子们了解到关于奶牛的知识，包括它们的毛色、神奇的四室胃以及草食的习性。孩子们在课堂上动手制作了属于自己的奶牛模型，还模拟了挤奶的过程。丰富的学习体验让孩子们对周围的世界有了更多的了解，也让他们更加懂得珍惜和关爱每一个生命。
