Greetings from Grade 4. The first two weeks of this semester have been full of success and continuation of our learning journey. The students of Grade 4 have successfully completed the ‘Unit of Inquiry’ called ‘Who We Are’. This unit focused on the importance and impact of role models in our daily life. Many of our students chose either their parents or major sports and entertainment figures as their role model. For this inquiry our students learned and shared that family, integrity, patience, and perseverance are important to their individual vision, goals and ambition. Our students are motived and inspired by their role models and plan to use their role model characteristics to help them overcome obstacles they may face.

开学两周以来，我们继续开展有意义的探索学习之旅。四年级的学生们完成了超学科主题“我们是谁”探究单元的学习，本单元主要关注生活中的榜样以及榜样对同学们的影响。大部分学生选择了自己的父母或体育明星、娱乐明星作为自己的榜样。通过本单元的探究学习，学生们深刻体会到：为人正直、有耐心和有恒心对实现他们的个人目标是很重要的。学生们受到了他们榜样的启发，并计划将他们榜样的个人特质融入到自己的日常生活中，帮助自己克服以后有可能会遇到的困难。

Grade 4 English has seen many successes as well. Our students are continuing with their use of Spelling Shed, IXL and MyOn Digital library to aid their education journey in conjunction with focussed teaching in English class. The next few weeks will see the children learn proper usage of the ‘future tense’.

此外，四年级的英语学习内容和方式也非常丰富。学生们继续使用Spelling Shed、IXL和MyOn 线上图书馆来作为日常英语学习的补充及重点知识的强化工具。接下来的几周，英文学习将重点关注“将来时”的正确使用。

We would lastly like to mention our extreme pride in the Grade 4 students’ participation and successes in FCG’s Sports Day. It is also worth mentioning that the day was full of successes for all the Primary students at FCG and whilst our focus has been on Grade 4, we know the entirety of the FCG community has also been extremely proud of the ‘amazing’ achievements or all our ‘amazing’ students.
