EY | 小猫头鹰们的身体探索之旅

After spending over a month in the Early Year School, the EY1 children have embraced a vibrant and colourful experience. Each child in the EY1 class has embarked on a delightful and unrestrained journey of physical exploration.

入园一个多月,小小班的宝贝们开启了多彩斑斓的幼儿园生活,每一位孩子都自由自在地展开了奇妙的身体探索之旅。

Children learnt the name of each body part from the story of ‘From Head to Toe’ by Eric Carle, and the teacher led them to discuss each body part. In this process, the children carefully observed their faces and bodies, and tried to link body functions with body parts.

孩子们从故事《从头到脚》中了解到了身体各个部位的名称,并在老师的带领下进行讨论。孩子们在这个过程中学会了认真观察自己的脸和身体,并尝试将身体的功能和部位联系起来。

Particularly when the children catch sight of themselves in the mirror, they keenly observe their faces reflecting a range of diverse expressions. From radiant smiles to expressions of anger or pouting lips, each child's unique facial expressions showcase their individuality in captivating ways.

特别是当孩子们在镜子中看到自己时,她们观察到镜子中自己的脸上有各种不同的表情,有特别开心的笑脸;有很生气的模样,有嘟嘴巴的模样,都很特别。

The teacher also introduced the beloved story "Brown Bear" by Eric Carle to the children. With this story as their guide, the children progressed from understanding the function of eyes to exploration within the classroom, searching for the colours mentioned in the story. Through engaging activities like a clipping game and a jigsaw puzzle, the children not only discussed their preferred colours but also explored different hues in various clothing items.

老师还把最有趣的故事《小棕熊》一书介绍给大家,在这个故事的带领下,小朋友们了解到眼睛可以看各种东西,也讨论了各种颜色。她们在课室里进行了对颜色的探索,在班级寻找故事中的颜色。小朋友们还会在“找一找”游戏中探讨自己最喜欢的颜色,在拼图游戏中讨论不同颜色的服装。

While doodling in the art area, one of the children excitedly shared with the teacher that her little hands had the ability to create and transform.

孩子们在艺术区创意涂鸦时,一个小朋友告诉老师她的小手可以画画,她的小手会变变变。


The EY1 children displayed a notable enthusiasm for Messy Play, engaging in a series of captivating activities titled "Little Hands Exploring the Big World."

小小班的孩子们对脏脏玩表现出了强烈的兴趣,他们展开了一系列“小小手探索大世界“的活动。

As children deepen their understanding of their bodies, they develop an increased awareness of a wide range of emotions. To initiate this exploration, we began a discussion on the topic of "What if I'm sad?". During the discussion, some children mentioned that they find comfort in hugging, while others suggested indulging in delicious food when feeling down. Additionally, some children expressed that reading stories helps them cope with sadness. To further support their emotional well-being, the teacher reintroduced the book corner to the children, emphasising that there are numerous ways to find solace when feeling sad. They were encouraged to choose the book corner or settle on the cosy sofa to find tranquillity and ease their emotions.

随着孩子们对自己身体的了解越来越多,他们开始慢慢关注到各种不同的情绪。当探讨“如果我难过了怎么办?”时,有的小朋友说难过的时候要抱抱,有的小朋友说难过的时候可以吃好吃的,还有的小朋友提到难过的时候可以看故事。老师把图书角再次介绍给孩子们,告诉他们难过的时候有很多办法帮助自己,例如可以选择到图书角看看书,或者在温暖的沙发上坐坐。

Together, the children embarked on an exploration of the incredible capabilities of their small bodies, aiming to unlock the vast array of movements they could achieve.

孩子们一起探讨了小小的身体可以做些什么,还尝试解锁各种身体的运动方式:

Child G said: I can clap my hands, I can carry bricks.

G小朋友说:我可以拍手,我可以搬砖头。

Child A said: I can bend my neck, I can arch my body.

A小朋友说:我可以弯曲脖子,我可以拱背。

Child I said: I can shrug my shoulders, I can hammer my chest.

I 小朋友说:我可以耸耸肩,我可以锤我的胸口。

Child B said: I can wiggle my hip, I can bend my knees.

B 小朋友说: 我可以扭动我的屁股,我可以弯曲我的膝盖。

Child G said: I can wiggle my toes, I can bend my neck and stomp my legs.

G 小朋友说:我可以扭到我的脚趾,还可以弯曲脖子和跺脚。

The children's exploration of the human body continues to evolve, as they gradually develop skills in communication, discussion, active listening, and sharing with their peers. We have witnessed remarkable growth in their ability to explore both the world around them and their own selves. As we embark on a new school year, let us eagerly anticipate more exciting and enriching learning adventures for our EY1 children.
